CARMEL, Ind. – Spalding University had the first women's lacrosse student-athlete in the program's history named to the 2023 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Spring Academic All-Conference Team in
Isabella Mullins, the conference announced Wednesday.
Mullins is the first Golden Eagle to be honored on an HCAC women's lacrosse All-Conference team. The sophomore adds the academic honor to her College Sports Communicators Academic All-District At-Large Team selection she earned earlier this week. The Lexington, Ky. native played every minute in goal for the Spalding women's lacrosse team this season.
The SU men's and women's lacrosse teams compete as affiliates in the Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference which is a part of the larger HCAC league.
To earn HCAC Academic All-Conference honors a student-athlete must hold a 3.5 cumulative grade point average, be at least a sophomore in academic standing, and have been enrolled in at least one full year at their current institution.
