NORTON, Oh. - The men's cross-country team finished up their season at the 2023 NCAA DIII Great Lakes Regionals.
TURNING POINTS
The day started out strong for the Golden Eagles. SU were led by
Wyatt Frye who came across the downhill finish-line with a sea of people around him. He navigated the hilly 8km course in 28:07.44. This is Frye's third fastest time of the season.
The dynamic duo of
Noah Stinson and
Caleb Stinson crossed the finish line right next to each other. Noah finished with a new personal record (PR) of 28:41.53, while his twin Caleb finished with a new PR of 28:43.49.
Gavin Janning finished with his second-fastest race of the season in a time of 30:50.3.Â
Jager Simkins also raced his second-fastest time of the season. Simkins finished the course in a time of 41:53.3.
GOLDEN EAGLE NOTES
- 4 out of the 5 runners either PR'd or got close to their season's best.
- First full season as a scoring team since 2019.
