St. Louis, MO. - Spalding University women's soccer junior Baeli Young has been named St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.

In the 5-0 win over Berea on Thursday, Young scored a hat-trick for the Golden Eagles. The midfielder/forward from Bardstown, Ky. also assisted on two goals along with her hat-trick against Berea.

It is the first SLIAC Offensive Player of the Week award of the year for women's soccer.

The Golden Eagles return to the field Friday, September 9 at 8 p.m. at Maryville College for their second match of the season. The match is part of the MC Invitational.
