ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Spalding women's golf team sits third in the 2022 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) coaches preseason poll, the league announced Monday.
The Golden Eagles earned the third spot with 61 points. Three-time defending champion Grinnell College earned the first position in the poll with 81 total points and nine first-place votes. Illinois College ranked second with 73 total votes and a single first-place nod.
Jordan Harris, an All-Conference performer last season, was named to the 2022 SLIAC Women's Golf Preseason Watch List.
The 2022 SLIAC Women's Golf Tournament takes place Oct. 8-10 at The Rail Golf Course in Springfield, Ill. Spalding begins the season hosting the Battle of Chariot Run at the Chariot Run Golf Course in Laconia, Ind. The invitational begins on August 27 and runs for two days.
