SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – Spalding women's golf placed fourth at the 2022 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Championship, with two Golden Eagles earning All-SLIAC honors.
Jordan Harris, named first-team All-SLIAC, shot rounds of 78, 80, and 82 to tie for seventh place. She totaled 240.
Alexis Seay got her name on the SLIAC second team with a 14th place showing after rounds of 83, 80, and 86 for 249.
Bailey Birdsell finished in the top half of the field with a 21st-place mark (88-89-84—261).
Rianna LaFuente and
Madison Elder rounded out the Golden Eagle contingent. LaFuente (92-93-89—274) finished 30th and Elder (92-96-98—286) ended the event in 32nd.
Grinnell College won the championship with a total of 911. Illinois College was 60 points back in second with 971. Lake Forest took third with 997 and Spalding followed with 1024.
Asbury Match Play is next for SU. They travel to Danville on Friday, October 14.
