Women's soccer edged by Greenville, 1-0, in SLIAC quarterfinal

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Spalding women's soccer team lost to the fifth-seeded Greenville Panthers, 1-0, in SLIAC quarterfinal match ending their season. The Golden Eagles end the season with a 4-5 record overall.

At the end of the first period, the game was still scoreless. Each team was able to place three shots on frame, but none found the back of the net. It wasn't until the 57th minute that Greenville pulled ahead to net the one and only goal of the match giving them a 1-0 lead. Despite tallying five shots in the final 33 minutes, the Golden Eagles were unable to net the equalizer. The Greenville Panthers would take the match 1-0 and advance to the next round. Jordan Schneider ends the season 3-5 in the net for the Golden Eagles.
