LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Spalding women's soccer team lost 2-0 to conference opponent Westminster Saturday at home. The Golden Eagles finish their regular season 4-4 overall and 4-3 in SLIAC conference play.
In the 17
th minute of the first half, Westminster would net their first goal of the match giving them a 1-0 lead. The Golden Eagles could not gain any momentum as the Blue Jays would net a second goal in the 60
th minute of play, putting Spalding down 2-0. The Golden Eagles could not convert offensively as Westminster gives Spalding their third conference loss of the season.
Jordan Schneider records her fourth loss in the net despite having six saves on the day.
Spalding will return to action Monday April 19 at 6:00 p.m. as they host the SLIAC Quarterfinal match at home against Greenville.
