LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Spalding men's soccer team defeated SLIAC conference opponent Westminster Saturday at home, 2-1. The Golden Eagles end the regular season with a record of 6-2-2 overall and 6-1-1 in SLIAC play.
The Golden Eagles came out strong offensively in the first period as they would score their first goal of the game in the 23
rd minute. Baba Pam would score his fifth goal of the season on the pass from
Asher Benge. Benge would net his first goal on the season in the 26
th minute of play on an assisted pass from senior,
Ethan Thornton. Despite Spalding having a two-goal lead, the Blue Jays would cut the deficit in half as they netted a goal on a free kick in the 35
th minute. Spalding would keep Westminster from scoring as they take the match, 2-1.

Spalding will return to action Tuesday April 20 at 7:00 p.m. ET as they host the SLIAC Quarterfinal match at home against sixth seed Blackburn.
