ANDERSON, In. – The Spalding University women's basketball team earns their fifth loss of the season to Anderson, 79-71. The Golden Eagles advance their record to 2-5 on the year.
Spalding would take the lead early in 1
st period on the Ravens as
Natalie Fichter would drain her first three of the game. Spalding's defense would continue to the Ravens on the edge of the lead as the Golden Eagles led the game by three. Anderson would come out hot from the field as they would rack up 27 points in the 2
nd period to lead 40-25. The Ravens would continue the hot streak into the 3
rd period as they would extend their lead by 20 at the end of the third period. Despite Spalding's 30-point 4
th period surge, they could not recover offensively as they drop the road game to Anderson, 79-71.
Maleah Hirn would lead the team with 20 points and eight rebounds as
Natalie Fichter followed closely behind with 19 points and eight rebounds.
