BEREA, Ky. – The Spalding University women's basketball team suffers their sixth loss to Berea, 71-46.
 
The Mountaineers would start off the first period going on an 11-0 run on the Golden Eagles. 
Mercedez Moore would break the run with a layup in the paint to give them their first points of the game. Berea would continue to run away with the lead as they end the first period up by 19 points. The Golden Eagles would begin to chip away at the lead in the second as Spalding would outscore the Mountaineers by two. Ultimately, Berea would best the Golden Eagles in the final two periods to take the game, 71-46.
 
Natalie Fichter finished with nine points, three assists, and nine rebounds as 
Sydney Raque had eight points and four rebounds while 
Mercedez Moore had seven points and seven rebounds.
 
Up next, the Golden Eagles will travel across town for an exhibition game against the Knights of Bellarmine Thursday, December 16
th with a tip-off at 6:30 pm ET.
