LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Spalding women's soccer team fell to the Fontbonne Griffins, 6-1, Wednesday evening in Louisville, Ky. The loss drops the Golden Eagles record to 7-7 on the season and 5-5-1 on conference play.
The Griffins jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first half and added a pair of early second half goals to take a 5-0 lead through 53 minutes.
Baeli Young found the back of the net in the 57th minute to get Spalding on the scoreboard, but the Griffins neutralized in 11 minutes later to make the final count, 6-1.
