ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Spalding men's soccer team dropped a road contest to Webster, 3-0, Saturday in St. Louis, Mo. With the loss the Golden Eagles drop to 8-6-1 on the season and 7-3-0 in SLIAC play.
The Gorloks jumped out to a 2-0 lead on a pair of first half goals by Mark Moore in the 29
th and 31
st minutes. The Golden Eagles had opportunities in the with shots on-goal in the 4
th minute and 36
th minute, but Gorlok keeper Matt Coffey was in position to make saves on both attempts. Webster's Colby Kapp scored in the 80
th minute to put the game out of reach.
Assan Gueye suffered his first loss of the season allowing three goals while collecting two saves.
