The Golden Eagles advance to the SLIAC championship game after taking down Fontbonne, 84-74.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Fontbonne started off the game with back to back baskets, but the Golden Eagles got their footing and responded with a three-pointer by
Megan Goeing.
Allison Just followed with a jumper, then
Maleah Hirn sunk two free-throws to take the lead. From there, the first quarter was an exchange of points and the advantage, however, a fastbreak three by Hirn gave them the lead going into the second quarter.
- In the second quarter the Golden Eagles were able to extend their advantage to seven points, but the Griffins fought back, ultimately taking the lead and going into the half up by four points.
- In the third quarter the Eagles were able to cut the deficit several times, but the Griffins kept pushing back. However, a drained three by
Hannah Renfro at the buzzer put Spalding up by three going into the final quarter.
- In the fourth quarter, the Golden Eagles found their stride and didn't give up the lead once. Ultimately winning the game by 10, 84-74.
NOTABLE STATS
- Five Golden Eagles secured double figure points, leading Spalding was Sophomore
Maleah Hirn with 19 points, seven rebounds, and five assists.
Hannah Renfro followed with 16 points and seven rebounds.
Allison Just came next with 14 points and five rebounds. Next, was
Hunter Wright with 12 points, nine rebounds, and two steals. Senior
Megan Goeing also contributed 11 points.

- Rylee Stafford led the Griffins with 19 points.
