WEBSTER GROVES, Mo. – The Spalding women's basketball team saw their season come to an end, falling to Webster in the SLIAC championship game, 65-51. The Golden Eagles finished the season with a 16-11 record.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Golden Eagles got off to a good start in the first quarter, with
Maleah Hirn starting them off with a good layup at 9:41.
Allison Just followed immediately with a good jumper putting them at 4-0. They continued to push their lead, however Webster fought back, bringing it back to a tied game several times. Ultimately, the Golden Eagles went into the second quarter up by one.
- The second quarter was in favor of Webster, although Spalding was not giving up, getting back to a tied game multiple times. Webster's Jaysea Morgan landed a jumper with 1:10 left in the quarter to obtain the lead going into halftime.
- The third quarter started off strong with a jumper by
Hunter Wright to tie them back up at 31-31, but the Gorlocks didn't allow the score to get that close for the rest of the game. Despite the Golden Eagles efforts, they couldn't push past Webster to secure a win.
