HOW IT HAPPENED
- Spalding was able to get an early lead after a three from
Mitchell Prince, and Spalding never trailed again. Westminster was able to tie it up at five, but never able to gain the lead. Spalding then went on a nine point run started by a jumper from
Marcus Montgomery. The Blue Jays answered with several baskets to cut Spalding's lead to three, but Spalding didn't give their lead up. With just under four minutes remaining in the half,
Xavier Gari scored six of the Golden Eagle's 13 points to extend their lead to nine at half, 43-34.

- To start the second half, the Blue Jays were able to score a quick eight points to cut the lead to three and kept it close until just under six minutes to play.Â
Troy Amanor scored six straight points for the Golden Eagles extending their lead to nine. Without scoring for nearly two minutes, Westminster got down 11, and Spalding would get their biggest lead of the half. Knocking down free throws down the stretch secured the 77-68 win for Spalding, going 10-for-14 in the final two minutes of the second half.
