HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ Â
- Hunter Wright opened the game with a lay-up to put the Golden Eagles up. This started a 19-6 run for Spalding which was capped off by a three from Megan Goeing. Sophia Hathaway led the way for the Panthers scoring the first 3 baskets, but it wouldn't be enough. A buzzer-beater from nearly half court from Allison Just would send Spalding into the second quarter up 23-10.
- SU kept their foot on the gas for the remainder of the half, but Principia didn't have an answer. The Golden Eagles held the Panthers scoreless in the second quarter, going into the half up 39-10.
- The Panthers came out scoring 16 points in the third quarter led by Sophia Hathaway who was responsible for half of the teams second-half points, but it still wouldn't be enough. Backed by solid defense, the Golden Eagles would go on to win 83-38.

- Hunter Wright led all scorers with 22 points, and added 6 rebounds. Allison Just contributed 17 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 steals. Megan Goeing and Meagan Hayden pitched in 10 points a-piece. Every player for the Golden Eagles scored.
