LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Spalding men's basketball team loses in a last second heartbreaker to Fontbonne, 75-74.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Spalding started off strong, gaining seven points and allowing none for the Griffins.
Troy Amanor started the game with a good jumper, followed by a three-pointer by
Marcus Montgomery, and then a jumper by
Brian Tribble. With a strong defense, and a three-pointer by
Mitchell Prince the Golden Eagles got into a double-digit lead of 12 points. From there, Spalding found their stride and extended their lead into 20 points going into the half.
- The Griffins came into the second half ready to play. They were able to cut Spalding's lead quickly. With six seconds left in the game the Griffins were leading by one point. However,
Marcus Montgomery made three back to back free throws to take the lead again up one. With one second left in the game, the Griffins got a dunk off of a missed layup to win the game, 75-74.

Troy Amanor led the Eagles with 22 points and nine rebounds.
Jaiquan Edwards gained 13 points and 9 rebounds, as well.
FOR THE FOES
- Anthony Jones led for the Griffins with 18 points and eight rebounds. Elijah Rice followed with a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
