FULTON, MO. – The Spalding women's basketball team falls to the Westminster Blue Jays after a hard fought game.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Golden Eagles began the game strong with the first points of the game coming from a layup by
Hunter Wright and a three-pointer by
Maleah Hirn. The Golden Eagles started out the game going on a seven point run before Westminster scored their first points of the game.
- Westminster made a strong comeback in the second quarter taking a 31-25 lead before
Hannah Renfro hit a layup to end the half with the Golden Eagles at a deficit of only four points.
- In the second half, The Golden Eagles started out slow, but kept pushing to lessen the gap. The Golden Eagles managed to stay strong to end the second half with a tie game at 64-64 to push the game into overtime. The Westminster Blue Jays managed to take the lead late in overtime and didn't let up, ultimately winning the game 75-70.

Maleah Hirn led in scoring for the Golden Eagles with 19 points and six rebounds.
Hunter Wright followed with 17 points, eight rebounds, and two blocks.
