With 1:56 left to play in the first, Greenville cut the SU lead to four, but Kendyl Powell would knock down jumper to push the lead back up to six. The teams would continue to trade baskets in the second, the Panthers cut the lead to five before Maleah Hirn hit a three to put Spalding back up eight. A few plays later Tse Gahagan would hit a three to push the lead to double digits. Greenville responded with a run of their own scoring nine unanswered points. To end the half, Alex Martin found Hirn for a three as the clock wound down sending SU into halftime leading, 42-38.

- Both teams were cold to start the third. Martin would sink a jumper with 8:16 to play to put the first points in the second half on the board, and Allison Just would convert her steal into two points pushing the lead back up to eight for the Golden Eagles. The Panthers would cut the lead to one after a pair of free throws, and Gahagan would hit a shot from deep off an assist from Martin to head to the fourth up four, 53-49. In the fourth, Greenville would try to find a way to take control of the game after cutting the lead to two, but Spalding had other plans as Martin found Savanna Pinkston for a lay up to push the lead to four, 59-55. Spalding led by just one point following a quick 4-1 Panther spurt. However, Spalding responded with a 5-0 run to extend the lead back to six on a Just three-pointer.
