LOUISVILLE, KY. – Another one bites the dust; the Spalding women's basketball topped MacMurray, 74-54, to win their 10
th straight game. The Golden Eagles improve 17-6 overall and 12-2 in the SLIAC.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Golden Eagles would get off to a hot start scoring 11 unanswered points. With 4:05 to play in the first, MacMurry went on a 7-0 to make the score 11-7, but a
Maleah Hirn jumper would end the Golden Eagles drought extending the lead back to six. In the second quarter, a three-pointer from
Alex Martin pushed the lead to 10 points, 17-7, sparking an 11-0 SU run pushing the margin to 26-7. The Highlanders cut the lead to 13, but the Golden Eagles would extend their lead to 16 before the end of the quarter.
- The Highlanders would start the third on a 9-0 run cutting the Golden Eagles lead to nine points, 33-24. On SU's next possession, Tse Gahagan found
Hunter Wright in the paint for a layup and the Golden Eagles kept the lead above the double digits heading into the fourth quarter leading, 50-37. In the fourth, Spalding opened the quarter on a 14-3 run extending their lead to 24 points on a Gahagan layup in transition and the Golden Eagles coasted to a 74-54 win.
