CARLINVILLE, Ill. – The Spalding women's basketball team continue their winning streak besting Blackburn, 71-59, to with their 11th game in a row. With the win, Spalding improves to 18-6 overall and 13-2 in SLIAC play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Megan Goeing found Allison Just for a three to get the Golden Eagles off to an early three-point lead. However, the Beavers would outscore Spalding, 13-8 the remainder of the quarter to lead, 13-11, at the end of the first. The Golden Eagles offense started clicking in the second quarter scoring 21 points to give SU a 32-24 lead heading into the half. Three consecutive Goeing three-pointers gave Spalding a 20-15 lead and Spalding would stretch the margin to as many as 11 points in the quarter.

- The Golden Eagles continued to grow their lead in the third quarter extending the margin to 17 points following a Maleah Hirn three-pointer with 1:19 to go and led by 14 heading into the fourth. Blackburn made a three-pointer to open the fourth quarter, but the Golden Eagles kept the Beavers at bay and lead by double-digits the rest of the way winning, 71-59.

NOTABLE STATS
- Alex Martin led the team with 16 points and pulled down seven rebounds. Goeing added 15 points, while the freshman duo of Hunter Wright and Hirn scored 10 points apiece.

FOR THE FOES
-  Savannah Kruse lead all scorers with 17 points and 5 rebounds. Jenna Dudra dropped 16 points and 5 boards, while Kate Smith had 9 points and 5 assists.
