CARLINVILLE, Ill. – The Spalding women's basketball team continue their winning streak besting Blackburn, 71-59, to with their 11th game in a row. With the win, Spalding improves to 18-6 overall and 13-2 in SLIAC play.

Allison Just for a three to get the Golden Eagles off to an early three-point lead. However, the Beavers would outscore Spalding, 13-8 the remainder of the quarter to lead, 13-11, at the end of the first. The Golden Eagles offense started clicking in the second quarter scoring 21 points to give SU a 32-24 lead heading into the half. Three consecutive Goeing three-pointers gave Spalding a 20-15 lead and Spalding would stretch the margin to as many as 11 points in the quarter.
- The Golden Eagles continued to grow their lead in the third quarter extending the margin to 17 points following a
Maleah Hirn three-pointer with 1:19 to go and led by 14 heading into the fourth. Blackburn made a three-pointer to open the fourth quarter, but the Golden Eagles kept the Beavers at bay and lead by double-digits the rest of the way winning, 71-59.

Alex Martin led the team with 16 points and pulled down seven rebounds. Goeing added 15 points, while the freshman duo of
Hunter Wright and Hirn scored 10 points apiece.
