WEBSTER GROVES, MO. – The Spalding men's basketball team had a rough shooting night, losing to Webster, 67-53, Wednesday to fall to 9-11 overall and 8-5 in the SLIAC.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first five minutes saw the lead change between the Golden Eagles and the Gorloks four times, but by the 10:31 mark Webster jumped ahead, 19-15.
Marcus Montgomery answered with a three-pointer to bring Spalding to within one point, and a few plays later would hit another big three to help the Golden Eagles take a four point lead. Webster's Josh Johnson hit two free throws to tie the game at 25, but Dominiques Ellis would drive in for a layup off a
Jacob Coke assists to put Spalding back up two. The Gorloks would end the half on a 7-0 run to take the lead heading into halftime 32-30.
- The second half started with a block by the Gorloks' Rodson Entienne leading to a Nigel Wilcox layup and a four-point lead, 30-34. Montgomery would hit another three to cut the deficit to one. Webster would extend the lead to six point with 8:04 to, and Webster stay in control remainder of the game to win, 53-67.
