LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Golden Eagles fell to Webster, 66-54, after a competitive first half.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Golden Eagles started off slow in the first half, but, after four back to back jumpers by
Marcus Montgomery,
Robert Bendingfield, and
Brian Tribble, they were able to secure a one-point lead. However, Webster fought back, ultimately going into the half with a tied score of 27-27.
- The beginning of the second half was a tradeoff of points. Spalding was able to keep it close until nine minutes left in the game when the Gorlocks secured a layup and took the lead. From there, they ran with it and the Golden Eagles couldn't catch up, despite their best efforts.
- Marcus Montogmery was the forerunner of the group with 16 points and eight rebounds.
Robert Bendingfield followed closely with 13 points and seven assists.
