Golden Eagles come up short against Centre

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Golden Eagles fell to Centre, 78-63, after a hard-fought game.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Golden Eagles were keeping it close during the first half of the game Saturday night not letting Centre far out of their sights. Robert Bendingfield rallied for Spalding, securing eight points, however, Centre still led going into the half, 40-32.

- The second half started out strong with two made free-throws by Troy Amanor bringing the Colonels lead down to six points. Regardless of their efforts, Spalding couldn't seem to cut the lead of Centre. With just 1:27 left on the clock, Brian Tribble drained a three-pointer, soon to be followed by another jumper with just 17 seconds left on the clock. However, it was not enough to secure the win for the Golden Eagles.

- Xavier Gari led Spalding with 14 points and six rebounds, followed closely by Brian Tribble with 12 points and 3 rebounds.

UP NEXT
- The Golden Eagles compete next at Webster on Thursday, December 5th at 8:30 PM ET.
