DEFIANCE, Oh. – The Golden Eagles fell to both Defiance and Olivet College this weekend at the 45
th Annual Purple and Gold Tournament.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- On Friday against Defiance the Golden Eagles fell behind from the beginning and weren't able to close the gap.

Jaiquan Edwards and
Robert Bendingfield both fought hard for Spalding, Edwards with 14 points and two blocks, and Bendingfield 12 points. Despite their effort, the final score was 72-93.
-On Saturday against Olivet the game started out slow for the Eagles, their first points came from
Jaiquan Edwards at 17:55 but it wasn't enough to get them going, the final score was 75-95.

Marcus Montgomery and Edwards both put up 17 points for Spalding, and Montgomery was 100% from the free-throw line.
Troy Amanor came through with 14 points.
