LOUISVILLE, KY. - The Spalding men's soccer team fell, 2-1, Wednesday evening against Greenville on the night of the Grand Opening of the Athletic Fields Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Missing defensive starters,
Alex Pacheco and
Faysal Jilani, the Spalding defense was tested early in the first half. The first goal of the game came in the 37
th minute from Greenville. Spalding's offense struggled to get much going in a positive direction. Despite the struggles, Spalding made it to halftime only giving up one goal.Â
- More pressure in the second half from the Panther attack eventually broke through the Golden Eagles backline. Spalding gave up their second goal of the game with just over half an hour remaining in the game. Following the second goal of the game for Greenville, the Golden Eagles finally began to click on offense. In the 86
th minute,
Mirza Ugarak hit a beautiful shot off a free kick from 30 yards out to give Spalding their first goal of the game. Unfortunately, the game ended before the comeback and Greenville defeated Spalding, 2-1.
