LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Golden Eagles opened conference with a 3-3 tie against the defending conference champion, Westminster Blue Jays Saturday at Champions Trace.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Spalding opened the game firing on all cylinders with two earl goals coming from
Mani Bakari (7') and off a
Tyler Gore header (21') to go ahead, 2-0. The Blue Jays managed to get one back before the end of the half cutting the lead to 2-1. The Blue Jays buried back-to-back goals in the 81
st and 82
nd minute to pull in front, 3-2. Facing a loss, Faysal Jillani tied the game up in the 89
th minute sending the game to overtime where the game would end in a 3-3 draw.

Jude Louis (7-2-1) Louis is credited with allowing all three goals from Wesminster but did record himself five saves on the day for the Golden Eagles
FOR THE FOES
- The lone first half goal for Wesminster came from Brandon Rettke (44') with him also coming up with a second goal in the later minutes (81'). Jephte Ngendo scored the third goal for the Blue Jays (82')
- Connor Bandre (1-7-1), gets the result for the draw with allowing three goals and having one save go with that
