Golden Eagles End Road Trip With 3-1 Loss at Principia

ELSAH, Ill. – The Spalding University volleyball team ended their weekend road trip with a 3-1 loss Saturday afternoon at Principia College.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Panthers edged the Golden Eagles, 25-22, to take the first set. Principia rolled to a 25-13 win in set two, but SU bounced back taking the third set, 25-22. However, the Panthers closed the door on a comeback taking the fourth set, 25-22.
  • Samantha Robison led the Golden Eagles in back-to-back games recording a team-high 10 kills, while Mya Summers passed out 23 assists.
  • Veronica Richburg and Theresa Kwarciany led SU at the net with three blocks apiece. Dawson Kemme anchored the backrow with 32 digs.
