LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Spalding University softball team split a doubleheader with Eureka College falling in game one, 8-1, but bounced back to take game two, 4-3, in walk-off fashion Sunday in Louisville, Ky.

GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS
Addison Morris drove in Spalding's only run of the game. Morris singled to left field scoring Lexie Shoup from second base.
GAME ONE STAT LEADERS
Addison Morris led SU at the plate going 2-for-2 with one run batted in.
Ally Klein and Mackenzie Henderson each finished with two hits.
Amber Kilburn (3-5) suffered the loss allowing five runs, two earned, on three hits in 1.1 innings pitched.
FOR THE FOES
Kerrigan Dura led Red Devil hitters going 3-for-4 with two doubles and three runs batted in.
Erin Smith (6-0) earned the win holding SU to one run, on nine hits, while striking out four batters in a complete game effort.
GAME TWO HIGHLIGHTS
Trailing 2-0 in the bottom of the sixth, freshman Abby Booker singled to center field bring Mackenzie Henderson in to score from third base cutting SU's deficit to one run.
After a Eureka run in the top of the seventh, SU trailed 3-1, but answered with three runs in the home half of the inning to top Eureka, 4-3. Addison Morris walked to lead off the inning and moved to second on an Ally Klein sacrifice bunt. Callie Janek popped a ball up to shallow right field that was dropped by the right fielder allowing Janek to reach and move to second while Morris raced home to cut the deficit to one run. Olivia Carter double to right center bringing Stephanie Fries across the plate to tie the game, 3-3. Senior Kaylin Rucker walked it off with a single to left field driving in Carter for the game-winning run.
GAME TWO STAT LEADERS
Olivia Carter led the Golden Eagles at the plate and was also the winning pitcher. Carter went 3-for-4 with a double and driving in one run. In the circle, Carter (4-3) allowed three runs, on seven hits, while striking out two batters, in seven innings pitched.
Abby Booker and Mac Henderson each tallied a pair of hits, and Kaylin Rucker drove in one run.
FOR THE FOES
Gabby Wood led Eureka going 2-for-3 with two runs batted in.
Kale George (5-3) allowed four runs, two earned, on four hits, while striking out two batters in 6.2 innings pitched.
