BEREA, Ky. – The Golden Eagles offense lit up Mountaineer for 24 runs to sweep the doubleheader at Berea, 11-7 and 13-5, to win their third straight game.

GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS
After two scoreless innings, the Golden Eagles got on the scoreboard when Addison Morris drove in Grace Sweat with a sacrifice fly to left field. Lindsay Hubbard crossed the plate for the final run of the inning following an Olivia Carter single to right field.
A Berea run cut SU's lead to one run, but Golden Eagles plated two more in the fourth following a Morris single.
SU added to their lead with a three-run fifth inning. Kaylin Rucker hit a two-run homer scoring Carter and Ally Klein singled driving in Jaycee Head.
In the top of the sixth, Rucker hit her second two-run dinger of the game extending SU's lead to six runs.
The Golden Eagles padded their lead to eight runs when Klein homered bringing Hubbard and Grace Sweat to make the final score 11-4.
GAME ONE STAT LEADERS
Kaylin Rucker led SU with four runs batted in, going 2-for-3 including two home runs.
Ally Klein had a team-best three hits going 3-for-4 with three RBI and two runs scored.
Addison Morris also drove in a trio of runs going 1-for-3 with a run scored and a stolen base.
Olivia Carter earned the win improving to 5-3 on the season allowing seven runs, five earned, on 11 hits, while striking out four batters, in seven innings pitched.
FOR THE FOES
Kourtney Parker led the Mountaineers at the plate going 2-for-3 with three runs batted in.
Jacqui Howard (6-16) suffered the loss allowing nine runs, seven earned, on 11 hits, in 6.0 innings.
GAME TWO HIGHLIGHTS
The Golden Eagles jumped on the Mountaineers early scoring five runs in the top of the first. Kaylin Rucker tripled to right field driving in Addison Morris and Olivia Carter to get SU on the scoreboard. Abby Booker followed with a single scoring Rucker and Grace Sweat capped off the inning with a two-run homer.
SU put up and eight-spot in the third inning to take 13-0 lead. A Sweat double to left scoring Rucker jumpstarted the inning, and Callie Janek followed with a two-run bomb. The Golden Eagles drove in their next five runs on three straight singles and a fielder's choice, before Sweat bookended the scoring with another RBI single to center field to cap the inning.
GAME TWO STAT LEADERS
Grace Sweat drove in three runs going a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate including a home run and a double.
Kaylin Rucker (2-0) earned the win allowing five runs, on four hits, while striking out one batter, in 3.0 innings pitched. Rucker also drove in a trio of runs going 2-for-4 with a triple.
FOR THE FOES
Jacqui Howard went 1-for-3 with three runs batted in to lead the Mountaineers at the plate.
Kourtney Parker (0-4) was hit with the loss allowing 10 runs, on seven hits, while walking four batters, in 2.1 innings.
