ELSAH, Ill. – The Spalding women's basketball team capitalized on Principia's mistakes to secure their fourth win of the season, 70-31, over Principia. The Golden Eagles improve its season to 4-3.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Golden Eagles came out of gate fast outscoring Principia, 19-4. Spalding took advantage of 18 first half turnovers by Principia and finished the half with a 40-18 lead.
- Spalding came out of halftime right where they left off. The Golden Eagles opened the second half with a 22-2 run to make the score, 62-20. Spalding continued to cruise to make the final score 70-31.
- 12 Golden Eagles scored in game, led by junior
Allison Just's 15 points and seven rebounds. Freshman
Maleah Hirn also finished in double-figures scoring 10 points, while
Alex Martin added eight points and seven rebounds.
FOR THE FOES
- Nikki Matters scored 15 points and brought in nine rebounds, just one shy of a double-double. Sabrina Netherwood also recorded 9 rebound for the Panthers.
