HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Golden Eagles fell behind early allowing Webster to get out to a 10-5 lead following a Kaylee Heggemann layup at the 3:54 mark. A pair of the Gorlok turnovers led to back-to-back baskets by Maleah Hirn and Alex Martin cutting the deficit to one, Allison Just hit a three-pointer on Spalding's next possession to put Spalding in front 12-10 and stretched their lead to 17-12 following a Tse Gahagan jumper at the horn. Five more Gahagan points helped SU open the second quarter on an 11-2 run stretching their lead to 14 points midway through the second quarter and led 35-19 at halftime.

- Spalding kept their foot on the gas in the second half, Martin scored six quick points extending SU's lead to 23 points, but the Gorloks finished the remainder of the half plus-10 cutting the Golden Eagles lead to 13 heading into the final period.
