THE BASICS
THE SCORE: Transylvania 82 – Spalding 56
LOCATION: Columbia Gym | Louisville, Ky.
RECORDS: Spalding 6-4 | Transylvania 7-3

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Golden Eagles got off to a horrendous start allowing the Pioneers to get out to a 17-0 lead. A pair of Maleah Hirn free throws got SU on the board, but could only trim one point off the deficit and trailed 24-8 after one quarter. The Pioneers continued to pull away in the second quarter stretching their lead to as many as 34 points and SU trailed, 49-20, at the half. A Megan Goeing layup in transition trimmed the deficit to 22 points at the 7:01 mark in the third quarter, but that's as close as it would get as the SU fell, 82-56.

- Freshman Hunter Wright notched her second double-double of the season tallying 13 points and 11 rebounds. Alex Martin and Megan Goeing also finished in double-figures. Martin scored 12 points and pulled down five rebounds, while Goeing finished with 10 points.
