DANVILLE, Ky. – The Spalding men's basketball team fell on the road to Centre, 65-39, Wednesday night at Alumni Gymnasium, to drop to 3-5 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-In the first half, the Golden Eagles pulled away to an early 15-3 lead. The trio of
Dominique Ellis,
Robert Bendingfield and
Troy Amanor sparked SU's early success combining for 13 points to put the Golden Eagles in front, 15-3, at the 9:51 mark. Nevertheless, the Colonels found their groove over the final nine minutes outscoring Spalding 19-4 over the remainder of the half sending the Golden Eagles into the half trailing, 22-19.
- Amanor took over to start the second half, scoring Spalding's first seven points putting the Golden Eagles back on top 26-24 following an and-one with 17:52 to play. Centre's Tucker Sine responded with a three-pointer on their next possession and the Colonel's never looked back outscoring Spalding, 41-13, over the remainder of the half cruising to a 65-39 win.

Troy Amanor led the Golden Eagles scoring a career-high 17 points going 8-of-13 from the field, while pulling down nine rebounds.

-Tucker Sine and Perry Ayers led the Centre offense scoring 15 and 13 points, respectively.
