LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Spalding women's basketball team dropped their home opener to Centre College, 45-39, to drop to 1-2 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Golden Eagles shot 33.3 percent from the field including 57.1 percent from beyond the arc to take a 34-30 lead into halftime. However, the Golden Eagles went ice cold in the second half making just 5-of-26 shot attempts and were 4-of-12 from the free throw line allowing the Colonels to steal the win.  

- Megan Goeing was the only Golden Eagle to finish in double-figures scoring 10 points on 4-of-8 shooting, and Sophomore Hannah Renfro added nine points and seven rebounds.   

FOR THE FOES
- Kathleen Wilson led Centre scoring 15 points, while Madison  Rice pulled down a team-high seven rebounds.
