LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Spalding University women's basketball team dropped their third consecutive game losing on the road at Eureka, 77-69, Wednesday night in Eureka, Ill. The Golden Eagles fall to 4-9 overall and 2-3 in SLIAC play, while Eureka improves to 8-5 overall and 4-1 in conference.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Spalding led after one quarter. A
Hannah Renfro three-pointer put SU in front, 17-14, and the Golden Eagles led 17-16 after one quarter. An
Allison Just three-pointer extended Spalding's margin to four points, but the Red Devils closed the gap eventually taking a 35-31 lead with 54 seconds to play. Just converted a layup on SU's next possession to cut the deficit to two points at the half. Spalding kept the margin to three points heading into the fourth quarter, but 11 turnovers in the helped Eureka stretch their lead to eight points at the final horn.

Allison Just paced the Golden Eagles offensively with 17 points on 4-of-8 shooting.
Lelanda Matthews added 15 points and rebounds, while
Micaiah Bowden scored 11 points.
FOR THE FOES
- Haley Reneau led Eureka with a game-high 24 points while collecting six steals on the defensive end.
