LOUISVILLE, Ky. – A late goal pushed the Spalding University women's soccer team past Principia, 3-2, in their SLIAC opener Saturday at Champions Trace.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Spalding recorded eleven shots on goal for the game.
- The first goal of the game was scored by Baylee Tabler and assisted by Hannah Sullivan at the 16^th minute mark. The next goal was scored by Kelsie Huffman at the 55^th minute and assisted by Baylee Tabler. Sarah Cornett found the back of the net in the 80^th minute for the game winner.
- Freshman Ashley Wilson (2-1-0) earned her second win of the season allowing no goals and while collecting one save in 27 minutes of action.

FOR THE FOES
- Principia College recorded six shots on goal.
- Sarai Marcano scored the first goal for Principia College during the 57^th minute assisted by Clarice Bruch. Clarice Bruch then found the back of the net later at the 60^th minute assisted by Emelie Fredrikson.  
- Libby Lewis (0-5-0), made eight saves throughout her 90-minute span in goal.
