LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Spalding University volleyball team captured a second straight win topping Franklin College, 3-1, Tuesday night avenging a previous loss to the Grizzlies on September 13.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Spalding took command early winning the first two sets 25-19, 25-22, while outhitting the Grizzlies .169 to .031. Franklin won game three 25-19 forcing a fourth set, but the Golden Eagles killed the comeback attempt dominating the fourth set 25-15 to win the match, 3-1.

Ashley Chase and
Claudia Spivey led the Golden Eagles attack. Chase recorded a team-high 11 kills, Spivey finished with 10, while
Morgan Berning and
Theresa Kwarciany added seven kills apiece.

Amanda Patterson was the primary setter through the first three sets passing out 24 assists, and
Kaitlin Hall came on in the fourth set to connect on seven her nine assists in the final set.
- Defensively, Spivey controlled the net finishing with a team-high eight blocks, while
Koti Weaver anchored the back row with 24 digs and no receiving errors.
