LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Spalding University volleyball team beat Eureka in three sets, 25-21, 25-20, 25-16, Wednesday night at Derek Smith Gymnasium. The win pushes SU's record to 8-21 overall and 7-10 in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Golden Eagles hit their way to victory hitting .294, their second highest hitting percentage of the season.
- Freshman middle hitter Claudia Spivey led the SU attack connecting on a match-high 13 kills, while Ashley Chase and Morgan Berning added nine kills apiece.
- Kaitlin Hall facilitated the offense passing out 31 assists on the game, while also anchoring the defense with 12 digs.
 
FOR THE FOES
- Anna Crank and Lexi Dooley led the Red Devil offense with eight kills each, while Sara Worrell passed out 12 assists.
- Jordan Detmer led the defense with 10 digs, while Crank added nine.
 
UP NEXT
- The Golden Eagles will wrap the season Saturday hosting  a tri-match at Derek Smith Gymnasium. Spalding will open the day against Principia at 11 and cap off the 2017 season against in-state foe Centre College at 3 pm.
