ANDERSON, Ind. – The Spalding University women's soccer team falls, 2-1, on the road against Anderson University. The Golden Eagles drop to 4-3-1 on the season before heading into conference play.

Dee Dee Sliter was the first to score to give the Golden Eagles the 1-0 advantage. In the 21
st minute,
Lauren Locke played a ball into the box and Sliter was there to head it in. The Ravens were quick to respond in the 29
th minute with a goal by Emily Buchman, assisted by Haleigh Ciampa. The Golden Eagles were outshot 10-6 by the Ravens in the first half.
Buchman scored her second goal of the night early in the second half to take a 2-1 lead over SU; the goal was assisted by Katie Frazier. The Golden Eagles had many more opportunities to score in the second half, tallying 15 shots while the Ravens took only 5. Keeper for the Ravens, Rebecca Roell, recorded nine saves on the night.
The Golden Eagles will prepare for conference play against Fontbonne University. The match is set for 2 pm this Saturday at Champions Trace.
