LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Spalding University softball team split games with Greenville, losing 5-3, before winning 4-3 in walk-off fashion. The Golden Eagles end their season with an overall record of 13-23 and an 8-10 mark in the SLIAC. The Panthers overall record stands at 19-19-1, with a 12-6 record in the conference. In the first game, Brianna Anderson (12-10) picked up the victory, while
Robyn Schoen (6-11) was hit with the loss. The second game saw
Amber Kilburn (6-10) earn the win, while Cayla Speaks (4-4) took the loss.
Alyssa McAfee had a productive day, going 4-for-7 with a run.
Kaylin Rucker went 3-for-6 with three RBI's and two runs, including a three-run homerun.

Spalding jumped out to a three run lead in the bottom of the second of the first game. With runners on first and second, Rucker hit a three-run homerun to left field. Greenville would get a run back in the top of the fifth off of a RBI single from Anaya Tobiason. The panther would complete their rally in the top of the seventh, scoring four runs. The offensive surge was led by Tiffany Samsoe's two RBI single to right field. Spalding would try to bounce back in the bottom half, but was unable to find an answer.
Greenville struck first in the second contest. In the top of the third, a sac fly from Samsoe would make it 1-0. The Panthers would extend their lead in the fourth, adding another run on an error that would bring the runner from second home. The Golden Eagles would take the lead in the bottom half. After a Rucker single,
Amanda Gilliland hit a two-run homerun over the wall in left-center to make it 2-2. Greenville would take the lead back in the top of the fifth off of a RBI single from Andrea Martin. Spalding would find a rally in the bottom of the seventh with their backs against the wall. With a runner on second,
Shelby Kilgore hit a RBI single to tie the game at 3-3. Kilgore would steal second to move into scoring position before Lindsay Hubbard would hit the walk-off double to close out the season.
