LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Spalding University women's soccer won their fifth straight SLIAC game topping Greenville College, 4-0, Wednesday afternoon. The Golden Eagles improve to 9-4-1 overall and 5-1-0 in the conference.
SU held the offensive advantage, getting off 12 shots to Greenville's nine. Goalkeeper, Kelsey Kaiser is credited with four saves on the day, earning her ninth win of the season and her seventh shutout.

The Golden Eagles applied pressure quickly, scoring the first goal in the 6th minute. Abbi Quinn slotted the ball across the box finding the feet of Shelby Lurie who put it away low post to take the lead 1-0, Lurie's first goal of the season. Dee Dee Sliter was the next to strike for the Golden Eagles, lobbing the ball over the goalkeeper in the 20th minute. The goal was assisted by defender, Ali Bumblis, and SU led the 2-0 at the end of the first half.

The second half started with another quick goal from Sliter in the 48th minute, assisted by Lauren Locke. Sliter has tallied 16 goals this season and has taken over first place in the SLIAC for most goals scored. She also achieved a milestone in her career at SU by scoring her 60th and 61st goal in today's match. Baylee Tabler used her speed to beat a couple defenders and touched the ball past the keeper to score her third goal of the season; the goal was assisted by Alyssa Logan.
