CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Spalding University volleyball team dropped a non-conference match to Mount St. Joseph Wednesday night, 3-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED- In the first set, the Golden Eagles led 14-13 following an
Ashley Chase block solo. However, the Cougars scored nine of the next 11 points to take control of the set, eventually winning 25-19.
- Similar to the first set, Spalding led near the midway point at 10-9. Six unanswered Cougar points pushed MSJ ahead by a five point margin, and went on to take the set 25-13.
- Spalding looked to be in control of the third set leading 20-15 following
Victoria Heitzman kill. However, the Cougars finished the set on a 10-2 to take the set and match.
UP NEXTSpalding will be back in conference play this weekend when they host Westminster at 11:00 a.m. EST and Eureka at 1:00 p.m. as part of a quad-match at the Southern Indiana Sports Center.
