HOW IT HAPPENED- The Golden Eagles and Moutaineers managed just two shot attempts in the first half, none of which found the back of the net, and both teams went into halftime scoreless.
- Spalding outshot Berea 6-3 in the second half, but two of the Mountaineers three found their way past SU goalkeeper
Eric Goranflo. Camenisch found the back of the net in the 46
th minute for the game-winner and Massucco scored in the 58
th to make the final margin 2-0.
- Spalding controlled possession, holding a 10-2 corner kick advantage, while outshooting BC 8-5. However, Berea made the most of their attempts scoring on two of their five shots.
UP NEXTThe Golden Eagles will begin conference play Friday, September 24 at Eureka College. Kickoff is slated for 3 p.m. EST. Last year Spalding defeated the Red Devils 16-0, but this season EC is off to a 4-1 start and currently sit atop the SLIAC standing.
