NEW ALBANY, Ind. – The Spalding University volleyball team's three-game winning streak came to an end in their second game of the day on Saturday as Greenville won in straight sets, 25-19, 25-14, 25-10 at the Southern Indiana Sports Complex. The loss drops the Golden Eagles to 4-8 and 4-2 in SLIAC play while the Panthers improved to 7-5 and an undefeated 4-0 in conference play.
After three straight games of twenty or more percent kill rate, the Golden Eagles killed only seven percent of chances.
Jessica Diehl paced the squad in kills with 10 on 13 chances for a 62 percent kill rate.
Ashley Chase led the team in assists once again with 18.
The Golden Eagles will be back in action on September 23 at 7:00 P.M. on the road at Franklin College in Franklin, Indiana.
