HANOVER, Ind, - The Spalding men's basketball team dropped their second straight game, this time on the road against Hanover College, 72-47.

The first half went back and fourth for the first ten minutes as the Golden Eagles trailed 14-12 at the nine-minute mark. As the half dwindled down the Panthers opened up a seven-point advantage before a jumper by
Owen Mumphrey and three by
Brandon Goeing sandwiched between a Hanover made three made it a five point game at halftime.

For the second consecutive game the Golden Eagles started slowly in the second-half, falling behind by 14 within the first six minutes of the half. Hanover continued their second-half run taking their biggest lead of 25 with 1:51 to play. The Golden Eagles finished the game, not making a basket in the final 7:58 of the contest.

Junior
James Turner who had 14 points on the night, along with three rebounds, led Spalding. Joining him in double-figures was
Nick Trisko, 10, and
Brandon Goeing, 10. Trisko failed to record a double-double for the first time this season grabbing nine rebounds.

The Golden Eagles shot 32 percent for the game, but were outrebounded 45-28 with the Panthers snaring 16 offensive boards.

Spalding will be back in action on Friday in there home opener as they host Washington University (Mo.) for a 7:00 p.m. tip-off.
