Dylin Albright slotted a goal in the 48
th minute to help lead the Spalding University men's soccer team past Principia, 2-1, Saturday at Champions Trace to improve to 5-6 and 2-0 in SLIAC play.

HOW IT HAPPENED- The Golden Eagles got on the board early.
Jacob Holehan played a corner long to
Austin Lanham, who found Abdullahi in the right side of the box, and the junior fired a shot past the Principia keeper to put SU ahead, 1-0, in the 4
th minute.
- Principia tied the game at 1-1 in the 33
rd minute. Briggs Hurley sent a ball into the left-side of the box finding the foot of Kevin Silcox who put it in the back of the net to send the game to the half tied, 1-1.
- SU wasted no time in the second half;
Dylin Albright took a ball, beat the defender and fired it into the back of the net for the game-winner.
- The Panthers had two opportunities to tie the game, but SU keeper
Logan Spencer saved both attempts to secure the win improving his record in-goal to 5-3.
KEY STATS- Spalding controlled possession, outshooting the Panthers 13-6, including 7-3 in attempts on-goal. SU also held a 9-4 corner kick advantage.
- With his goal against Principia,
Dylin Albright has run his total to three goals on the season, which currently ranks third in the SLIAC.
UP NEXTThe Golden Eagles will be back on the pitch next week playing a pair of conference road games. SU will travel to Greenville on Thursday to take on the Panthers, and will close the week out Saturday against Iowa Wesleyan.
