ST. LOUIS – The Spalding University women's soccer team suffered a tough loss at Webster Thursday night, falling to the host Gorloks 7-0.

The Golden Eagles were stifled by the Gorlok defense in the first half failing to get a shot off in the first 45 minutes. However, the game remained tied until Webster's Brianna Pagan found the back of the net in the 42nd minute to send SU into the half trailing 1-0.

In the 69th minute, Spalding's Dee Dee Sliter got a chance to get the Golden Eagles on the board, but her shot was saved by the Webster keeper. Webster went to add goals in the 81st and 85th minute.

Sliter led Spalding offensively with four shots, three coming on goal. Alecia Foley and Baylee Tabler also added a shot each.
