Box Score The Spalding University women's soccer team lost to Franklin College 3-0 Wednesday night, marking their second loss in as many games.
The Golden Eagles held the Grizzlies scoreless the first 79 minutes or the game, but Michelle Murphy found the back of the net at the 79:50 mark and Vanessa Benham added goals in the 84th and 87th minute to secure the Franklin victory.
SU was outshot 22-4 overall and 13-3 on goal, Franklin also held a 6-1 corner advantage.

Hannah Freytag took Spalding's only shots on the night. Ballard finished the match with three shots, with two on goal, while Freytag tallied one shot.

Kelsey Kaiser recorded 10 saves.
Spalding will be back in action Saturday, September 28 when they open conference play at Greenville College. Kick-off is set for 3:00 p.m., ET.
