The Spalding University women's soccer team tied Anderson University 0-0 Wednesday night to improve to 2-1-1.

The Golden Eagles tallied a season-high 35 shots, with 21 on goal, but could not find the back of the net.

Freshmen Dee Dee Sliter and Tori Smith led the SU attack, each finished with seven shots, with five on goal. Keeper Kelsey Kaiser had another outstanding performance in the net with nine saves.

Courtney Sparks led Anderson with three shots on goal, while keeper Chelsi Griffin finished with 15 saves.

Up next, the Golden Eagles will hit the road to take on Earlham College Saturday, September 21 in Richmond, Indiana. Kick-off is slated for 2:00 p.m.
